HyWay Ferranti Limited

In 1995, Ferranti Ltd bought the intellectual property rights of a RIP (Raster Image Processor) from Hyphen Ltd who were specialists in prepress software for the printing industry. A new business HyWay Ferranti was formed and £245,000 invested. Using mainly ex Hyphen staff, the product was modernised to Postscript level 2 standard. HyWay Ferranti was sold to Adobe in 1997.
