In 1984 Ferranti Ltd assembled a management team to manufacture high resolution graphics monitors initially for the computer aided design industry and then for the graphic arts market.  From an investment of £200,000, Ferranti Ltd owned 30% of the equity with the remainder owned by the rest of the management team.  The company was bought by Carlton Communications in 1988.
